The Austin, Texas and Portland, Oregon and many others were the luckiest cities where R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co decided to test its Camel snus smokeless tobacco product.

Camel Snus that has already gained its permanent users is a refrigerated smokeless and spitless tobacco product originated from Sweden.

It seems that R.J. Reynolds believes in successful upgrowth of Camel Snus on US markets.

For the first time R.J. Reynolds’s snus was tested in April 2006. R.J. Reynolds will launch Camel snus in Los Angeles; Chicago; New York; Atlanta; Washington, D.C.; and other markets in May, Reynolds spokesman David Howard said.

Even company spokesperson refused to divulge the states where snus is planned to be tested, it can be expected that gradually this new tobacco product will be sold in all 50 US states.

Snus tobacco product becomes trendy, by all appearances because Philip Morris Company, business rival of R.J. Reynolds, also launched snus variety for its legendary Marlboro in the Dallas-Fort Worth market in August 2007 and expanded that test to Indianapolis in March 2008.
