Packets of cigarettes themselves have been posted with images and warnings against the ill effects of smoking. Several countries employed the use of these images including a man with an amputated leg, a mouth and a lung infected by cancer, and a man with a large throat tumor. There is even an image of a drooping cigarette, indicating that smoking brings about impotency. These images are mostly accompanied by text warnings in the lower front or sides of the cigarette packets to emphasize more on the dangers of smoking.

So facts like these would definitely motivate the smokers to decide on their quitting process.

Smoking is equally dangerous for the younger people as it is for the older ones. But very often, many older smokers think that smoking does not have too many ill effects on them as they have come of age but the fact is that smoking has same effects on the smokers, regardless of their age.
